I was hungry and you gave me food; I was thirsty and you gave me drink; I was a stranger and you made me welcome; naked and you clothed me, sick and you visited me; in prison and you came to see me…’
Matthew 25: 35-36

Our community and life together are rooted in our mandate as Christians to care for those in need. As Jesus instructed us, we are dedicated to loving our neighbors as ourselves and offering service to those in need even the animals.

We collect funds to support the work of Episcopal Relief and Development which addresses international development issues as well as disaster relief.
Each month we assist a local service agency through an ingathering of needed items from school supplies to household goods. We continually gather nonperishable foods to help stock the food pantries on Long Island. We partner with the Interfaith Nutrition Network (INN), Wounded Warrior Project and many others.

We seek ways to better meet the needs of those in our area and around the world.
Christ Church parishioners raise funds for the Interfaith Nutrition Network (INN), Episcopal Relief and Development and for many other charitable organizations. We also collect food items for the INN as well as for the Long Island Council of Churches Food Banks. Throughout the year we support many different programs, from collecting clothes for newly returned veterans to gifts at Christmas time. Please see Revelations for news on each month’s outreach activity or for information on how to join the outreach committee.
